Meet Govinda
Every Natural Nomad garment is brought to life by Govinda and his skilled team of tailors in the holy town of Pushkar, Rajasthan.
Our connection with Govinda spans three generations. More than fifty years ago, his father and grandfather worked with my mother when she first began bringing handcrafted clothing from India to the UK. Today, Govinda continues that relationship, built on trust, friendship and a shared respect for traditional craftsmanship.
Every piece is carefully cut, sewn and finished by Govinda and his team, combining decades of tailoring experience with thoughtful design and attention to detail.
A Family Tradition

Meet Ram
Every hand block printed fabric in our collections is created by Ram Dosaya and his family workshop in Bagru, Rajasthan.
For generations, Ram’s family has practised the traditional craft of Bagru hand block printing, preserving techniques that have been passed down through the generations. Using intricately hand-carved wooden blocks, each design is printed one colour at a time with remarkable precision, skill and patience.
Ram specialises in Bagru and Dabu printing, using traditional natural vegetable dyes made from ingredients such as indigo, madder root, pomegranate peel and iron. Before printing begins, the cotton is carefully prepared using Harda (myrobalan), a natural fruit rich in tannins that helps the fibres absorb the dyes and gives the fabric its distinctive warm, earthy base.
Unlike modern textile production, every stage of the process is carried out by hand. From mixing the natural dyes to printing each layer individually, every metre of fabric reflects generations of knowledge, craftsmanship and care.
We feel incredibly fortunate to work directly with Ram and his family, selecting fabrics in person and celebrating a craft that continues to thrive through the dedication of skilled artisans.

Why We Work Together
When I travelled through Rajasthan searching for makers, I wasn’t looking for the biggest workshop or the fastest production. I was looking for people who genuinely cared about preserving traditional craftsmanship.
Meeting Ram confirmed I’d found exactly that.
Today, every hand block printed fabric used by The Natural Nomad comes from his family workshop in Bagru. Together with Govinda and his family in Pushkar, these long-standing relationships help bring every collection to life.
